We recommend letting the candle burn until the wax on the entire surface has completely melted, i.e., forming a so-called \"pool.\" - This usually takes 3 to 4 hours. For smaller candles, it is about 2-3 hours. This prevents the phenomenon of \"tunneling,\" which can lead to faulty combustion and reduced candle performance. Tunneling - A shortened burn time can cause only part of the wax surface around the wick to melt and burn, which can deepen the tunneling. As a result, the candle may extinguish due to lack of oxygen for the flame. Avoid \"burning\" a candle only briefly or only lighting it to test the scent to avoid this phenomenon. If you want to light a candle only for a short time, we recommend choosing our smaller candles.
