Description
xBcure Butyric Acid is a food for special medical purposes that contains sodium butyrate in the form of micro-pellets. By using the encapsulation technology of sodium butyrate, it is distributed throughout the gastrointestinal tract and sufficient activity in the colon is ensured.
Butyric acid belongs to the group of short-chain fatty acids. Under physiological conditions, it is produced in the colon by bacterial fermentation of dietary fiber and is the primary energy source for the intestinal epithelial cells. Stress, highly processed foods, alcohol, and other stimulants cause a bacterial imbalance that leads to disturbed production of endogenous butyric acid.
Stress, a highly processed diet, alcohol, and other stimulants can disrupt the body's bacterial flora and cause gastrointestinal diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). In this situation, there may be an indication for taking sodium butyrate.
Sodium butyrate is recommended for dietary treatment of:
